How to fit it

Loosen every strap first. Put it on, then tighten the two shoulder buckles until the pouch sits flat against your sternum, just below your collarbones. Tighten the waist strap last.

It should feel snugger than you expect. That compression is what stops it bouncing. You should still be able to take a deep breath without the rig feeling tight.

Fill the bladder and adjust it again. A full rig needs slightly more room than an empty one, and this is the step most people skip.

Shipping and returns

Free shipping on the Double pack. Standard shipping applies to the Single.

Dispatched within 24 hours on business days. Delivery is typically 7 to 12 days.

If it does not fit the way you want, return it within 30 days for a full refund.

Care and cleaning

Rinse the bladder with warm water after every run and hang it upside down to dry with the cap off. Once a week, use warm water with a little washing-up liquid, then rinse thoroughly.

The rig itself wipes clean with a damp cloth. Do not machine wash it and do not put the bladder in the dishwasher.

The problem

You turned back early
because you ran dry.

A handheld bottle wrecks your arm swing. A waist belt rides up and rubs. A daypack is overkill for three hours out. So most people head out carrying nothing and cut the route short, or plan the whole thing around a tap that may not be working.

Why it works

Built around one idea:
never stop moving.

Everything on this rig exists to keep you going, whether that is a tempo run on tarmac or six hours on a ridge. Water at your mouth, weight on your sternum, nothing swinging loose.

01 / 05
01

Two litres, sitting on your chest

The bladder slides into the rear sleeve and the weight rides high and centred against your sternum, not swinging off your hips. Two litres is roughly two hours of hard running, or most of a day's hiking in cool weather.

02

Bite, drink, keep going

The hose routes over your left shoulder and clips at mouth height. You bite the valve and drink without breaking stride or stopping to unshoulder a pack. Unclip it and it tucks away when you are done.

03

Cinch it once. It stops moving.

Two shoulder buckles and a waist strap pull the rig flat against your body. Tighten it properly and there is nothing left to bounce, because the load is compressed against your chest rather than hanging off it.

04

Mesh where it touches you

The entire back panel and both shoulder straps are padded open-cell mesh, so air moves between the rig and your shirt. The edges are bound rather than raw, which is the difference between a long day out and a chafed one.

05

Rain is not a reason to stay in

Waterproof Oxford shell with water-resistant zips. Rain beads and runs off instead of soaking in, so your phone stays dry in the top pocket and the rig does not double in weight halfway up the hill.

The fit test

Fill it. Wear it
around the house.

Before your first run or hike, load the rig with what you would actually carry and walk around indoors for five minutes. If nothing jostles, shifts or bounces, you have it cinched correctly. If something moves, tighten the waist strap first, then the shoulders.

Go further

Two litres is
one more ridge.

The reason people turn back is almost never their legs. It is that they ran out of water an hour ago and the car is the only place to fix it. Carry your own and the decision to keep going stops being a gamble.

Where it goes

One rig,
every route.

Runners bought it first. Hikers took it further. It works the same way on both.

I was ready for it to bounce and it just did not. Took two goes to get the waist strap right and after that I forgot it was there. Did 18k with it full.

Got it for hikes where there is nowhere to refill. Two litres gets me up and back with some left, and I am not stopping to pull a bottle out of a pack every twenty minutes. The bite valve is the part I did not know I needed.

Phone, keys, gels and a jacket all fit and I still have a hand free. It is snugger than I expected on the first wear, which the instructions did warn me about.

Questions

Before you buy.

Mostly about fit, because that is what everyone asks first and it is the thing that decides whether you like it.

Will it bounce while I run?

Not if it is cinched properly, and that is the whole trick. Loosen everything, put it on, tighten the two shoulder buckles so the pouch sits flat on your sternum, then pull the waist strap last.

It will feel snugger than you expect on the first wear. That is deliberate. The compression is what holds it still. Fill the bladder and re-adjust, because a full rig needs slightly more room than an empty one.

What size should I get?

There is one size and it adjusts to fit chests from roughly 30 to 46 inches. Measure around your chest just below your armpits with the tape parallel to the floor.

If you are outside that range at either end, this is not the right rig for you and we would rather tell you now.

Does it chafe?

The back panel and both shoulder straps are padded open-cell mesh and all the edges that touch you are bound rather than raw. Wear it over a technical top rather than bare skin on long days, which is true of any chest-mounted pack.

Is the water bladder included?

Yes. Every rig ships with the 2L bladder, the hose and the bite valve. There is nothing else to buy.

Can I put ice in it?

Yes, and it is the single best thing you can do on a hot day. The wide screw cap takes cubes directly. Fill it about a third with ice, top up with water, and it stays cold for a couple of hours.

How do I clean the bladder?

Rinse with warm water after each outing and hang it upside down to dry with the cap off, which is what actually prevents mould. Once a week use warm water and a little washing-up liquid, then rinse thoroughly. Do not put it in the dishwasher.

Does it work for hiking as well as running?

Yes, and a lot of buyers use it that way. On a hike the advantage is that you never unshoulder anything to drink, and the pouch sits where you can reach a map, a phone or snacks without stopping.

The straps also have enough range to go over a mid-layer or a light winter jacket. Re-tighten after you add or remove a layer, because the fit changes noticeably.

What if it does not work for me?

Send it back within 30 days for a full refund. The Double pack ships free.
